8Ana Pizarro and Diana Ortega used to work at Caravan Beads of Chicago for over ten years! When Caravan Beads of Chicago closed their doors, Ana and Diana opened their own jewelry and bead shop on the first day of April in 2014.
Diana Ortega, Ecuadorian native and President of AVP Jewelry and Beads, has over 10 years of experience in jewelry making and finance. She is known to us as the "pearl knotting queen!"
Ana Pizarro is also from Ecuador and the is Vice President of AVP. Ana is a published artist, feautured in multiple magazines. The most popular one being Bead and Button Magazine with her project called the "Wonder Woman Cuff." It was also published in the book "The best projects of a year of Bead and Button Magazine" Vol. 8. Ana teaches her knowledge in jewelry making including: basic stringing, wire work, bead weaving, resin projects, knotting, metal work, embroidery, metal etching, and so much more! Her imagination has no limits. She learned from experienced instructors and friends when she worked for Caravan Beads of Chicago.
